Pawderosa Pet Care is a home-grown Oakland business established in 1999. On many occasions, you'll find several members of our family out on walks. We really love animals and have many of our own.
Over 12 years of experience is what we bring to you! We are seasoned professionals that provide you with exceptional care, reliable and conscientious service, and guidance with basic training challenges. We also have an exclusive dog training tool that was created for our clients. We are truly committed to your four-legged friends and their care. You can count on us to support you and your animal.

Our approach is one of safety, love, trust, and fun!
Over the years, we've taken many dog-training classes, and worked with trainers to develop our technique and style. We have a broad and beautiful perspective about how dogs learn, and how to manage large groups. We constantly work on basic obedience, trail manners, and pack management. Our groups play, while feeling comfortable and safe. We take great care in introducing new dogs to their play groups. This is HUGE!
We are committed to our group-handling method, which is extremely successful. We are licensed, insured, bonded, and versed in pet CPR.
In the beginning, we were one of the very few handlers that incorporated training with our walks. We wanted prospective clients to see what they should expect from a good handler, so we created a video to raise the bar in our industry. See it for yourself by watching our video tour. Our work ethic:
- Safety first
- Provide professional and dependable service
- Clean up on the trails and protect flora and fauna
- Show common courtesy to everyone on the trails
- Continue to educate ourselves to improve our client's relationships with their four-legged family friends
Community Involvement
SPARKY FOR MAYOR!
We participated in the Montclair Pet Mayor Contest, where our family gecko, Sparky, raised money for one of our favorite local charities, The Montclair Pet and Wildlife Fund. She won the title of Night Patrol Officer for 2010-2011, which suits her nocturnal habits.
SCOOP THE POOP!
We love our access to the parks and we want to be good ambassadors, so we organize regular park clean-up events. Our last event was at Skyline Gate where we cleaned the trail.
FACE PAINTING AND SILLINESS!
We volunteered at the Montclair Village Family Fun Festival, where we provided face painting for kids, and gave a presentation about how to choose the right pet care provider.
HELPED CRAFT ORDINANCE 38.
In 1999, we were one of a select group of dog walkers that participated in the creation of Ordinance 38, which governs professional dog walkers in the East Bay Regional Parks.
